Caitlin Lipsey: Director
Passionate about the marching arts, mental health and music, Caitlin strives to constantly better herself as an educator and musician. Her performance experience ranges from high school marching band to college marching band, drum corps and indoor percussion. She has experience with woodwinds, studied saxophone and flute in college and enjoys playing brass in marching ensembles. Caitlin taught at Roy High for 3 years and now teaches at Ogden High in visual and high brass, going on 3 years. Her first priority is the mental and physical wellbeing of the students she works with to help them reach their full potential as musicians and athletes.
Outside of the music hall, Caitlin enjoys writing/making music, drawing, and playing video games.
Victor Pezzolla: Admin Assistant
Victor Pezzolla is currently a Music Teacher in Billings, Montana. Having studied at Montana State University - Billings and Utah Valley University. Prior to teaching music in Montana, Victor worked with various high school marching bands in Utah and Washington. Victor marched with various groups such as the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets and Eruption Drum and Bugle Corps, as well as the Weber State and the University of Utah marching bands.

Jer Adams: Visual Instructor
Jer Adams has been involved with the marching arts for the last 8 years and has been passionate for music since he was playing trumpet in elementary school (Later switched to saxophone in high school). During his time at Alta High School he has had many great opportunities to grow as a musician and leader including two years in student leadership, three straight years of superior ratings at solo and ensemble, clinics with some of the best educators in the state, a season of indoor guard, and even an invitation to play as a marching band extra in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. After high school he marched a season at the University of Utah Marching Band and soon after marched his ageout with the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps on mellophone. Since then he has taught for two years at West Jordan High where he took charge of the visual program as well as helping with the woodwinds.
During his free time Jer loves to make food, hang out with his cats, and play video games.
Joey Clawson: Visual Instructor
Joey got his start in the marching arts in 2017 when he played saxophone in the Davis High School Marching Band. While there, he also marched cymbals in the indoor percussion group. Since then, he has gone on to perform primarily on tuba with many ensembles including the Battalion, the Blue Knights, and the Mandarins. Now he enjoys spending time with his cat, going to the sauna, and passing on his knowledge as a brass and visual instructor at various schools in Davis county.
Abdallah Elhaddi: Brass Instructor
Abdallah started playing music at the age of 12, first on trumpet, and he switched to euphonium a year later, during his freshman year. Abdallah graduated from Alta High School in 2018, where he was a part of the marching band for two seasons, and he also participated in the Alta High School Winterguard’s first two seasons in 2017 and 2018. Abdallah had also spent three summers marching drum corps, with his first two seasons being at The Battalion and his age-out with the Blue Knights in 2022. Abdallah had spent four seasons teaching the Orem High School/Orem City Marching Band between 2019 and 2022, helping them take 1st place in their division at State Championships this year. He also had helped start and grow a new Winterguard program at Orem High, which had shown steady growth between 2020-2023. This season, Abdallah will be in his first season working with the Hillcrest High School Marching Band. Outside of music, Abdallah is an avid nerd, and he also is continuing to learn to snowboard. Abdallah hopes to create a place of safety and inclusivity, an environment where musicians can come together and thrive.
Cami Palmer Mecham: Woodwind Instructor
Cami Mecham played the flute since she was in 7th grade (about 2006). Cami graduated from Viewmont High School in 2012. She marched all three years she was there. Cami was also in the first two seasons of Viewmont’s indoor percussion (front ensemble and bass line), and she participated in a winter color guard concert! She was a drum major my senior year and received the John Philip Sousa award. Cami studied music at Weber State for a total of about 5 years. She played flute/piccolo in the marching band, wind ensemble, flute ensemble, and was first chair in the orchestra there. She was the flute/piccolo section leader for the marching band there my last semester there before she became a mom! Cami has been married for seven years and have two girls ages 5 and 1. Cami spent a season as the woodwind tech at Murray High School in 2021. She’s so excited to be a part of marching band again! Cami also enjoys singing, spending quality time with family, and being crafty!
